Volunteer Tip: Safe Transfer Volunteer Driver Training

On Tuesday, October 18 at 3:00 pm, Palisades Village is hosting a Safe Transfer Training for volunteer drivers. An OT from Grand Oaks will be leading this very useful training. They will cover Adaptive Equipment, Safe Transfer and what to do if someone falls. The training will be outdoors and there will be cars to demonstrate and practice on. If the weather is miserable, they will have a classroom available. The training will take place at the Palisades Hub, 5200 Cathedral Ave. This is highly recommended for all volunteer drivers! Register here. We would also like to remind volunteers that masks are still required when interacting with Village members during services. Members are also required to wear masks, it's okay to ask a member to put on a mask if they are not wearing one.
