From Frank... The excitement of our new space is really building. I hope to be in the new Village Square within a few weeks. Carpet is going down this weekend, furniture is being assembled, and we’re busy developing a robust calendar of events! Among many other programs planned, we will have two line dancing sessions at 1 and 2 pm in the Village Square for Cleveland Park Day on June 7th. (The rain date for Cleveland Park Day is June 21.) From Frank... May is Older Americans Month! The theme for 2026 is “Champion Your Health” which focuses on prevention, wellness, and personal responsibility as cornerstones of healthy aging. Earlier today, I participated in the DC Dept. of Aging & Community Living’s “Roll, Stroll, and Run” event. Above is my picture with DACL’s Director, Charon P.W. The Village Square From Frank... I’ve never had more exciting news to share. Cleveland & Woodley Park Village has plans to open a Village Square as a permanent, drop-in gathering space in the heart of Cleveland Park designed to serve our neighborhood's older residents.
