The first Village book club will meet on Tuesday, April 5 at 1:30 pm on Zoom. They will be discussing The Promise by Damon Galgut. The Promise is a family saga spanning four decades,each of which features a death in the family. It concerns the Afrikaner Swart family and their farm located outside Pretoria. The family consists of Manie, his wife Rachel, and their children Anton, Astrid, and Amor.
The Plot Against America by Phillip Roth

The second Village book club will meet on Monday, April 18 at 2:00 pm at Sandy Rubin's apartment. They will discuss The Plot Against America by Phillip Roth. In an extraordinary feat of narrative invention, Philip Roth imagines an alternate history where Franklin D.
