Author and psychotherapist Ellen Prentiss Campbell’s most recent novel Frieda’s Song was inspired by the life of renowned psychotherapist Frieda Fromm Reichmann who fled Nazi Germany in 1935 and practiced at the Chestnut Lodge in Rockville until her death in 1957, and by the fire which destroyed the Lodge in 2009.
