Pulitzer-Prize winning cartoonist at Politico
Matt Wuerker was an original staff member at Politico where he is staff cartoonist and illustrator. He has been awarded the National Press Foundation’s Berryman Prize, the Herblock Prize, and he received the Pulitzer Prize in 2012.
Prior to joining Politico, he was a successful freelance cartoonist, illustrator, and animator. Over the past 40 years, his cartoons have been published in dozens of newspapers and magazines. His work is syndicated internationally by Andrews McMeel Syndicate and the Cartoonist Group.
He is the former president of the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists and serves on the board of the Herblock Foundation, He is the president of the board for Cartoonist Rights Network International.
