Flipping the Script on Aging
Older Americans Month, celebrated each May since 1963, honors the contributions, resilience, and wisdom of older adults. It highlights their vital role in families, communities, and society, while promoting inclusion, independence, and dignity. Led by the Administration for Community Living, each year’s theme encourages reflection on aging and the importance of supporting older adults.
The 2025 theme - Flip the Script on Aging - challenges outdated views on aging, urging communities to break stereotypes and embrace aging as a time of opportunity and growth. It’s a time to recognize, appreciate, and learn from the experiences of older Americans who continue to shape our communities
