Looking for interesting activities for mid summer? Check the Village website and calendar for a listing of all of our summer activity options. One of them could be just what you're looking for. With our growing membership, options are also on the rise. Most events are open to members and active volunteers, but some, like our recent classical music at the Omni Shoreham. Here are a few:
Garden Club. This week our newly formed Garden Club had its first meeting. We discussed plans to visit various gardens, starting with the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens. I hope you’ll consider joining the club for their maiden outing next week. Be sure to read the Garden Club article for the complete details.
Planet Word. On July 28th, we’ll visit the new linguistics museum, Planet Word. A docent will orient us to this self-guided museum in the old Franklin School.
Finally, a reminder that we have other news and articles of interest on our Village blog. You can access it by going to our website and scrolling down. Read articles of interest and make comments, if you’d like. And you're invited to contribute! If you wish to submit a brief article of interest please do ... we'll help edit it and get it posted. It’s a great way to share news with other Village members, volunteers, and supporters.
