As Frank observed last week, fall is finally here, and the Village is taking full advantage of the nice weather with some exciting outdoor programming:
Our trip to the National Arboretum is scheduled for October 28. Click here to register for this fun look at the Capitol Columns and fall color.
The Outdoor Vaccine Clinic takes place next Wednesday, October 13 outside the front entrance of The Broadmoor. Giant pharmacists will be administering flu shots (COVID vaccines (Moderna or Pfizer for the initial vaccines), Pfizer COVID booster, shingles, and pneumonia vaccines. Click here to get more information and email us at email@example.com to sign up.
We have planned a Functional Evaluation Fall Prevention Clinic with Pivot Physical Therapy under the patio tent at California Tortilla in Sam’s Park & Shop for Friday, October 15. This program is open to all, please register here.
I also want to point out a great outdoor community event at Tregaron this weekend. Tregaron Unplugged will be on October 9 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. This outdoor, in-person event is a multi-musician showcase that invites local musicians into the parklands of the Tregaron Conservancy. With simultaneous performances at four locations throughout the grounds of the conservancy, Tregaron Unplugged offers visitors an immersive experience where they can traverse the trails through the trees, discovering a variety of genres and artists as they explore. This will be free and open to the public and you can register in advance here.
Don’t forget about our Village Walkers!
The Village walking group meets for an hour-long casual walk every Saturday morning at 9:30 am, and meets outside of the Giant at 3336 Wisconsin Avenue NW. No registration is needed, you can just show up and join the group!
Additionally, please note that the Village office will be closed on Monday, October 11 in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Have a great weekend everyone!
