Volunteers can now check their smartphone for opportunities


We've configured our software to send emails to volunteers every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. These emails show the open "opportunities" to help a neighbor. The office sometimes receives requests for services just after the emails have been sent. Did you know that you can log into our software, Helpful Village, at any time to see our volunteer opportunities? You can also use your smartphone to do so by using your internet browser on your phone. If you suddenly have a few hours of down time, please log on and see how you might help out.   • Logging in periodically to see if there are any volunteer opportunities that you can undertake also alleviates staff from having to call and ask volunteers if they can complete a request.

  • Signing up for opportunities several weeks away also helps reduce stress by those seeking help.
