Volunteer Tip: Volunteers Should Contact Members When Accepting a Service Assignment

When signing up for a member request, please remember to call the member either immediately after signing up, or as soon as possible. The Village office does not contact the member after a volunteer signs up for their request, so it is important that volunteers do so. Otherwise, the member you're helping will not know that someone is planning on helping them. This is especially important for transportation to medical appointments. Getting in touch quickly lessens anxiety and allows for plenty of time to coordinate logistics.
