Unfortunately, it is no longer possible for seniors to be moved to the front of the line at the Cleveland Park Fire House. The testing now takes place in a small area behind the firehouse, rather than the larger area to the side of the firehouse. The firehouse address is 4930 Connecticut Avenue, NW.
The lines are reportedly also much longer, with the expanded testing times of 2:30 - 7:30 pm. About 70 people are processed per hour. People start lining up at about 12 noon for the 2:30 start of testing and by the start-time, there can be several hundred people in line. Apparently the best time to arrive is about 1:30 or 1:45 pm. The testing days at Firehouse No. 31 have now been cut back to Mondays and Wednesdays only. That's the schedule December 19-27. All scheduled times are subject to change due to inclement weather.
All locations will be closed Christmas Day.
Everyone is being urged to register in advance to save time in line. At coronavirus.dc.gov/register, you can register by creating a profile, using your smartphone, tablet, or computer. You do not need a doctor's note or an appointment for any of the District’s free walk-up testing sites.
