Volunteer Tip: Providing Social Connection


Directly helping members serves a double purpose: not just accomplishing the requested task, but also providing social interaction. Many members live alone, and conversation with a volunteer may be their only human contact for the day. Look for ways to make the encounter a happy experience that will be remembered with pleasure.
