Volunteer Tip: Members Must Call Office to Request Services

An important policy of the Village is that all member requests must be submitted through the Village office (with some exceptions such as pre-arranged weekly shopping trips or visits).


If a member you have worked with previously calls you directly to ask for your help as a volunteer, you can gently remind them to call the Village office in order to make the request. It is important to us that our volunteers feel free to decide which services they would like to sign up for. Similarly, if you are in the middle of helping a member with one task and they ask for additional help with something else, you once again can advise them to call the office. For example, if you in the middle of picking up a prescription for a member and they ask you to go grocery shopping, please do not feel pressured to take on an additional task.
