Seeking Participants for Village Oral History Project

The Village has received a grant through the DC Oral History Collaborative to conduct an oral history project. With this project we aim to hear the life stories of our members and provide insight into their perceptions of their neighborhood, past and present, along with the impact the Village has had on their lives.

We are seeking Village members who would like to be interviewed and give their oral history. This is a great opportunity to delve into your stories and memories and have your history transcribed for your family and personal records. These interviews will eventually be archived in DC Public Library. If you are interested in being interviewed and would like more information, please e-mail the Village office or call us at 202-615-5853.

We are also seeking participants who would like to be interviewers and conduct these oral history interviews. There will be a training on oral history interviews on Wednesday, May 31 at 2:30 pm given by Judy Waxman and Claire Thompson. If you would like more information on being an interviewer, please contact the office.
