Village members enjoyed great weather at an outing to Chef Geoff’s for the return of Lunch Bunch! It is great to be able to have in person events for our community again. We have a good line up of events for the rest of the month, here are just a few to put on your calendar:
On Tuesday, April 19th at 7:00 pm, we will be holding this month’s Tuesday Talk webinar: Beyond Crises: Overcoming Linguistic Inequities in Communities and Classrooms, featuring author/educator Margarita Calderon in conversation with historian Amy Henderson. You can read more about this event and register here.
We have only four spots left for the Paella Cooking Demonstration and Lunch taking place on Tuesday, April 26th at 11:00 am, to be hosted by Village member and volunteer Mimi Cutler. Frank Finamore will give a demonstration on how to make paella, then everyone will enjoy eating it together. Village members can register for this event here.
Finally, be sure to come out for our Free Latin Jazz Concert by Imani and Trio on The Maret School Lawn on Saturday, April 30th at 4:00 pm! Enjoy Afro-Carribbean, Brazilian, and American Jazz classics. Latin and Caribbean food will be available for purchase. Register here.
Check our calendar on the website for a listing of all upcoming Village events.
Frank will return next week (hopefully rested) after a well-deserved overseas vacation.
Claire Thompson is the Village Assistant Director.
