Next Volunteer Orientation: July 6
We're Looking for Volunteers
We are looking for neighborhood volunteers of all ages to provide direct services to older adults in our neighborhood or support services to the Village. Our next volunteer orientation will be held on Zoom on Tuesday, July 6 at 5:30 pm. Once trained, it’s as easy as getting an email of what volunteer opportunities exist nearby and then selecting what works for you and your schedule! Sign up by e-mailing the office.
Here’s a sampling of the types of volunteer roles we’re looking to fill currently:
Drive older residents to medical appointments (and provide a friendly social visit while doing so!)
Plan outdoor events, such as walks, hikes, or concerts
Provide administrative support for the office
Represent us periodically at community events, such as local farmer markets
Plan member and volunteer appreciation events such as happy hours (when we can gather safely again)
Write articles about community events or profiles of members and volunteers for our weekly newsletter and website
Do outside Spring cleanup tasks, such as trimming someone’s hedges
Have a special skill not mentioned above? Let us know and we’ll figure out how you can help serve our community. Whether you have an hour a week or an hour a month, we can make it work and you’ll be helping to create a welcoming community.
