Join Capitol Hill Village to discuss the important resource of mobility training for the visually impaired. An orientation and mobility specialist is invaluable in restoring independence. They will answer the questions: What is blindness? What diseases lead to blindness?
When: Friday, June 25th, 4:00 - 5:15 pm.
Who: Open to individuals experiencing low vision/blindness or their caregivers.
Who needs this training? All those experiencing vision impairments should attend this Zoom class to learn the answers. Ms. Linda will give advice on how to be more comfortable in surroundings, and properly utilize a white cane. She will explain safety issues, while maneuvering through homes and streets.
There will be a Q&A session after the lecture.
